A man was charged for animal cruelty. What happened?

One day a man came into a hospital having symptoms of rabies. It was the duty of the doctor to find out how the man had been infected. He did not want to tell. So the doctor called the police and after a long discussion the man confessed: "I had sex with a raccoon." He was charged for animal cruelty.
